Once you have obtained your e-book compiler (e-book creation software), play with it so that you get to know all the features. Most e-book compilers are user friendly and you should be able to use it fully within the hour of downloading it. Don't be afraid of asking for technical support from the e-book compiler vendor. However, before you ask for support, ensure that you have read the instructions carefully and allow yourself time to become familiar with the compiler. Read the password protection / e-book encryption instructions very carefully. You need to password protect your e-book so that readers can only get full access to your e-book once they have paid for it. There is always a chance that some ill-bred thieves will pirate your e-book. However, if you password protect your e-book, that at least stops the thieves who are looking for easy takings. Once you have compiled your e-book and password protected it, test it to ensure that it only opens with the password. Go for e-book compilers that allow you to "lock" your e-book to one computer. That means, if your purchaser tries to send your e-book to a friend, it will not work. |
