Are there any differences in writing for traditional print magazines or Internet magazines?

One of the experts has said that there is very little difference. However, his experience has mainly been in traditional publishing.

One of our experts - whose experience is substantially Internet based - disagrees totally. He says that traditional publishing is hard to crack for total newcomers - whereas, new media / Internet publishing offers far better opportunities for all writers. If you can write clearly and simply, you can earn on the Internet. That is not always the case with traditional publishing.

Another major difference - traditional publishing offers traditional (small) payments. Internet publishing can generate far higher fees for writers.
